Flowers – 1000 Good Reasons
There are 1000 good reasons to give a loved one or yourself some pleasure with flowers and plants, because flowers and plants are simply an important part of life. The initiative “Flowers – 1000 Good Reasons” is dedicated to freshening up the image of the products, reinvigorating people’s enthusiasm about flowers and plants, and identifying new and exciting reasons to buy them.
Landgard started the initiative on Valentine’s Day 2015, in response to the interests of its member companies. A lot has happened since then. The initiative is characterised by blogger partnerships and events, DIY ideas from YouTubers and bloggers, and viral ads on Facebook and YouTube. In the form of the Garden & Home Blog Award, the initiative has thus not only created a sustainable network platform for all influencers and brands in the green industry (reach: 24 million in 2017), but in 2017 also succeeded in showcasing flowers during the final of Germany’s Next Topmodel on the German television channel Pro7, with an explosive Flower Power Walk, achieving incredible reach (90 million). After its third year at the hot music festival Parookaville, with 80,000 visitors, the floral presence of the initiative has become an established part of the event, and at the International Green Week 2018, the initiative has made the hall of flowers “rebloom” over an area of 6,000m², under the motto “Source of Diversity”. Furthermore, regular radio ads, advertising materials for the specialist retail industry, and truck designs are generating enthusiasm amongst producers, retailers and consumers alike – particularly in the young consumer demographic. The initiative has grown enormously over just three years. Each month the Facebook fan community grows by another 3,000 new fans, and has generated around 500 million contacts in just three years.
