Marketing cut flowers with skill and passion
Cut flowers are short-lived, and to ensure that they are still fresh on reaching the consumers, the distribution must be efficiently organised. This was why, in 2002, Landgard decided to build Landgard’s Herongen Flower Auction, the most modern auctioning facility of its kind anywhere in the world, embodying the optimum in logistical processes and procedures.
With our brokerage system producers can provide large consignments to the trade direct. Our knowledge of what our suppliers have available makes us an acknowledged partner in the marketing chain. It also means customers can add to what they buy at auction with additional merchandise.
Landgard Flower Bouquet Service offers its customers cut fl owers in the form of single-product goods, ready made-up bunches or finished bouquets. In the case of the finished bouquets, the Bouquet Service offers three different forms of composition, each of which involves different levels of work: posies, which are made up by machine and are only finished by hand, simple bouquets which are completely hand-tied, and then the more sophisticated theme or concept bouquets for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, All Saints’ Day or other special occasions.
Ready-bunched flowers are offered by Landgard Flower Bouquet Service not only “just in time” but also at the lowest possible cost. Many of the cut flowers that are used for the Bouquet Service come direct from growers in the local Lower Rhine region. These flowers are transported a very short distance, which means that when the finished bouquets are delivered, they are also as fresh as can be.
