Modern marketing for horticulture
Landgard is Germany's leading marketing organisation for horticulture. Based on the principle of 'decentralised production, centralised marketing' Landgard bundles together the portfolio of potted plants, cut flowers, horticultural and florists supplies fruit and vegetables produced by the members of the »Landgard eG« organisation. The company is wholly owned by the gardeners.

The marketing is undertaken by two operative companies: »Landgard Blumen & Pflanzen GmbH«, based in Straelen-Herongen and »Landgard Obst & Gemüse GmbH & Co. KG«, located in Bornheim-Roisdorf. The group operates four large auctions for potted plants, cut flowers, fruit and vegetables as well as marketing the produce to the specialist retail trade via more than 30 cash & carry markets. Landgard has built up a nationwide marketing operation in Germany and since 1999 has invested over ? 250 million its activities. |
